Give Your Deck and Fence the Refresh They've Earned

Idaho's weather is hard on outdoor wood surfaces. We bring them back to life with professional painting and staining that protects and beautifies for seasons to come.

Your Outdoor Spaces Deserve the Same Care as Your Home

A well-maintained deck or fence does a lot for a property. It extends your living space, adds to your curb appeal, and contributes to the overall impression your home makes from the street and the backyard. When it's faded, peeling, grayed out, or weathered, it takes away from all of that.

Wood surfaces used outdoors take a beating from UV rays, moisture, freeze-thaw cycles, and plain old daily use. Without the right protection, that wear accumulates fast. But with a proper cleaning, prep, and a quality coat of paint or stain applied correctly, a tired-looking deck or fence can look remarkably close to new.

Blue Ribbon Painting handles deck and fence refresh projects throughout the Treasure Valley, and we bring the same standard of preparation and product quality to these projects as we do to every other exterior surface we work on.

Done Right From the Start

Step 1: Free On-Site Estimate We'll assess the condition of your deck, fence, or both, discuss your goals and product preferences, and give you a clear quote before any work begins.

Step 2: Cleaning and Prep This is the most important step. We clean the surfaces thoroughly, remove old peeling paint or stain where needed, sand rough spots, replace any visibly damaged boards or boards that won't hold a finish, and make sure everything is ready to receive a coating.

Step 3: Priming (Where Applicable) Bare or heavily weathered wood often benefits from a quality primer coat before painting. We use primer where it's going to make a meaningful difference in adhesion and longevity.

Step 4: Paint or Stain Application We apply your chosen product evenly and carefully, including the undersides of deck boards and the difficult-to-reach areas between fence pickets that often get missed.

Step 5: Walkthrough and Cleanup We clean up the work area completely and walk through the finished surfaces with you before we close out the job.
